 Anul 2009 a fost unul de mare succes pentru genul hard dance, iar cea de - a 7 a editie a Hard Dance Awards a demonstrat acest lucru. Au aparut Dj noi, dar si case de productie care au reusit sa se impuna pe scena muzicii electronice.
Pentru editia de anul acesta a Hard Dance Awards au fost inregistrate 10.000 de voturi valide, acordate pentru cele 15 categorii, iar la gala de decernare a premiilor au participat 4.000 de oameni. La ceremonia au urcat pe scena nume consacrate din Hard Dance precum: Tidy Boys, Kutski, Amber D si fondatorul acestui eveniment Ed Real.
