DJ Master Saïd entered the world of DJing in 1978, in the middle of the disco era…In the summer of 1983 he entered the Club Mediterannée, the French corporation of vacation resorts, as a teacher of computer programming/gaming (on Atari) and that’s where he got the name “Master Saïd”. Spending all his nights at the discotheque he soon switched his job to DJ and the name remained…
Till 1990 he performed around sunny and snowy Europe and Africa (Marrakech & Dakar) seven nights a week ! It was then time to settle down and he then became a records shop manager in Brussels. Still spinning vinyls (and playing with Trakor lately) from time to time with his best friend, DJ Rick Restanques,
Not having a Soulful Music scene in Belgium, he now mix at home for his own pleasure and the one to share it all around the world thanks to the web.
DJ Master Said Volume’s Collection are mainly Soulful & Funky/Disco Vocal House. He make only a set a month because he’s very selective about the tracks and he’s looking for perfection when it come to mix them flawlessly, avoiding “easy” beats on beats mixing and looking for melody and harmony in the mix. You’ll notice that most of the tracks in the sets are edited to avoid unnecessary repetitive parts…
